St. Francis Guild

The Guild consists of a number of men and women who are interested in supporting the work of the Parish. 

The Guild pays for the flowers, books (mass and music books), cleaning products, and ther incidentals.  They organise social events to raise funds to pay for this, including tea and coffee after the weekly Sunday Mass; any surplus is given to the Church to help pay for expenses it incurs.

Catechists

Catechists give help, training, and instruction for new and growing parishioners

Eucharistic Ministers

These deliver communion to the sick and housebound, and assist the Parish Priest at communion

Children's liturgy group

Each Sunday during term time we hold a Children’s liturgy in the Mass for the younger children, run by a team of helpers.

We also have at least one special Children’s Mass during the year when children take part in the readings and present their own bidding prayers.
